We all know that shopping for Mom can be tricky. My Mom is one of the best gift givers. Period. She knows what I want even before I do! That being said, with Mothers Day just around the corner, I’ve been racking my brain as to what gift ideas would be perfect for her (or any other mom out there)! Now I’m not saying that we all have to go out and buy mom elaborate gifts, it can be as simple as planning her a thoughtful brunch (I recommend My Favourite Blueberry Pancakes ), or having a movie night favourite movie (her favourite snacks and homemade popcorn are a must)!

Now if you DID click this link to round up some last minute gift ideas for your kitchen crazy mama, you came to the right place! I’ve acquired more cookbooks than I could ever cook through in my LIFE, bought more kitchen accessories than necessary so needless to say, I think I’ve got some pretty wicked ideas for Mom. So here it goes 7 Kitchen Gift Ideas PERFECT for MOM.

  1. Le Creuset Sorbet Collection

From spoons to sorbet bowls, coffee mugs to espresso cups, whatever you like, these pastel colours are SO pretty and perfect for Mom. This collection is only available for a limited time so if you like it, you can find it online at The Bay or at Crate & Barrel (but it is selling out FAST). Remember, Le Creuset releases a different colour series every season, so if you’re into this colour palate BUY THEM ALL they may not be here forever! (I bought the Espresso cups, bowls, Mugs and Plates…and they are gorgeous!)

3. Ember Temperature Controlled Mug

  1. This Mug is the definition of luxury. How many of you leave a trail of half drunk coffee cups around the house? That was me until I got the Ember Mug. This baby syncs with the Ember App on your smartphone to allow you to control the temperature of your drink. Once your desired temperature is reached, you will get a notification on your phone and that temperature will be held. This is one of the only mugs I use, (I have my charging dock set up in my morning nook) so that even if my mug isn’t charged, I can grab my coffee, place it on the charger and boom. Perfect temperature until the last drop.

5. Lodge Cast Iron Skillet

A good cast iron skillet is a MUST in any kitchen. I use mine for almost everything! Whether it’s getting that perfect sear on a steak, or making a perfectly crispy pizza in the oven, if you don’t have one this is a no-brainer. I love the Lodge Cast Iron Skillet because it is pre-seasoned (meaning that it does not require any prepping/oiling of the skillet before use). Just be sure it is completely dried after use to avoid rust!

7. Nespresso Machine

With all my early mornings I live and die by my Nespresso machine. It makes the perfect americano EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Not only is it incredibly convenient, but their espresso pods are recyclable! Simply return your used pods to one of the 50+ drop locations across Canada, or pick up a free Nespresso recycling bag and return your used pods by mail!

2. Dining In: Highly Cookable Recipes- Alison Roman

One of my current favourites, Dining In by Alison Roman is a gorgeous addition to any cookbook collection. Filled with some of my favourite recipes (including “Buttermilk Brined Chicken with Fresh Za’atar”, “The Only Piecrust”- which is LITERALLY the only pie dough recipe I use, and “Salted Butter and Chocolate Chunk Shortbread”) this book brings about a fresh perspective of menu planning. Starting from pantry essentials to homemade condiments Alison lays out the “must haves” without giving a mile long list of ingredients. Her recipes are clear, easy to follow and absolutely delicious!

4. Anthropologie Measuring Cups & Tablespoons

If you’re like me, you probably have 5 sets of measuring cups already… I know it’s nothing new, but sometimes Mom just needs a little something pretty to spice up her kitchen and these are just that!

6. Bon Appetit Magazine

Bon Appetit is one of my favourite magazines! Filled with fantastic recipes, great city guides (chalk full of must-eats and best restaurants) and interviews with some of Americas highest profile chefs. This is a must for any foodie!

8. Lemon Square Cream Puffs

Let’s be honest, there is NO going wrong with treating Mom to cream puffs! Our May seasonal flavour, Lemon Square Cream Puffs are a lemon lovers dream! Filled with a zesty lemon cream, topped with a lemon fondant and finished with a dusting of icing sugar, this is the perfect end to a Mothers Day brunch!

Hope this helps find mom the PERFECT gift!

Happy Mothers Day Y’all!
